About me
Dr. Kerstin Dilchert grew up in Germany and can't remember ever wanting to be something other than a veterinarian.
I grew up with many different pets and holistic medicine has been used in my family for generations, so I have always had a great interest in practicing integrative veterinary medicine.
I attended veterinary school in Italy and Germany and received my doctorate in veterinary medicine from the University of Munich, Germany in 1992. I now hold veterinary medical licenses in both Germany and California. I am certified in Veterinary Acupuncture for small animals and horses and have studied and still continue my studies in Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine at the Chi Institute.
I have worked in private animal hospitals and shelters in both Germany and California. I live in Mill Valley where I raised my 2 boys and 2 girls. I have 2 dogs and 2 cats and on occasion a cute foster kitten from the Marin Humane Society as well.
In my free time I love to volunteer for Muttville Senior Rescue in San Francisco and the National Park Service Horse Patrol. I love to listen to live music.
